C.O.P.E with Cancer: Raising Awareness to the Impact Cancer has on Mental Health

C.O.P.E stands for "Creating Opportunities for Psychological Empowerment," a project aimed at providing comprehensive support to families dealing with cancer. The initiative addresses emotional, psychological, and practical challenges families face during their cancer journey through educational resources, support groups, and community engagement. Inspired by personal experiences with her father's ongoing battle with mantle cell lymphoma, Cassidy Conley is committed to helping individuals cope with cancer as patients or as loved ones.

The project focuses on four key aspects:

1. Physical: Cassidy plans to organize a "Dancers Against Cancers" dance exhibition fundraiser to alleviate financial strain caused by cancer expenses.

2. Emotional: She facilitates community conversations and is collaborating with NAMI Michigan to bring mental health professionals as a resource. Cassidy also created motivational journals for cancer survivors and supporters.

3. Mental: The project provides educational resources to empower patients in their medical decisions, lighten their burdens, and educate families about cancer and its treatments.

4. Spiritual: Recognizing the importance of spirituality in overcoming psychological hardships, Cassidy aims to provide a platform for individuals to find genuine positivity and support.

C.O.P.E with Cancer aims to foster complete wellness and ensure that nobody faces the challenge of cancer alone.

Bio

Cassidy Conley, an inspiring young leader, has made a remarkable journey in the world of pageantry. Her reign as Miss Teen Juneteenth 2022 exemplified her commitment to celebrating diversity and promoting unity. During her reign, Cassidy's exceptional dedication to her community and her ability to connect with others shone brightly. She continued her legacy by gracefully crowning her successor in 2023, passing on the torch of empowerment and leadership.

Cassidy's journey in pageantry led her to explore various systems, each experience adding to her growth and wisdom. Her quest for a platform that truly resonated with her values and aspirations eventually led her to the International United Miss system, where she now proudly serves as Miss Michigan Teen. In this role, Cassidy continues to uphold her commitment to fostering positive change and inspiring young individuals to make a difference in their communities.

Cassidy's story is one of dedication, empowerment, and unwavering passion for making a meaningful impact. Her journey in pageantry reflects her values and her mission to create a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
